Today marks the official Re-launch of the 1337-b4k4s website. We still haven't officially decided what we want to call the comic, or the site yet, which is why we're using our Keenspace account right now instead of a .com.

First let me tell you a little about us, and the history behind the website. First I suppose I should introduce everyone...

Slacker - Me, I do most of the art around here, I've also been working to get a video game company up and running called Sl4ck0r or Slacker Corporation. More on that later. I'm 19 and a College Student at Everett Community College. I'm not really going for a degree, just trying to learn more about things that interest me, and the world. I also reluctantly work at Burger King. There just aren't very many computer jobs out there right now.

Eijima - Jarret, the brains behind the whole thing. Jarret has the most random and great ideas EVER. This guy is just a hoot to be around, you never know what'll pop out of his mouth next, which for some people is very scary and disturbing. All of my ideas go through him, he catches things I never would have, and more often then not shows me how to make my ideas better. Jarret is also 19 and going to EvCC, he however is going for his AA in something-or-other, I'm really not sure, I do know that he's planning on transferring to a University later on. Jarret works at Shucks part time, between his job and school this guy doesn't get much free time anymore.

FireMonkey - Cody, I was going to say he's the one that keeps us in-line, but then several images popped into my head and I realized that, that just isn't true. Cody's just as random as any of us, although he just really seems to like monkeys and robots. Cody's a senior at Mariner High School. He goes to Sno-Isle part of the day as well in the Computer/Web Programming class that several of us took. Cody's 18, and like me works at Burger King, he plans on going to ITT Tech or something like that for a few years to get a degree in computers. Cody's also got the business license and will be the financial person at Sl4ck0r.

Kurai - Steven, how can I describe him... well he likes to kill things. He also probably knows most about computers out of all of us, and yet he doesn't want a computer job, go figure. Even though he doesn't have a car yet, Steven is really into cars, Muscle cars, and Mustangs to be more specific, and along with all of us despise rice burners. Steven is about to turn 18, and is a Senior like Cody at Aces. Steven, also like Cody goes to Sno-Isle, except he's in the 'rival' class to CWP, the Cisco Networking class. Steven takes Kendo, and really enjoys it, I kinda feel sorry for his future kid as Steven plans on making the kid learn kendo as soon as it can walk.

Ellis - Justin, you may hear a few words from him here and there. Justin and I were in CWP for two years together, and were the original founders of the 1337-b4k4s website. Justin, along with Jarret are probably the two most random people I have ever met. Justin's also 19 and is a full-time employee at the North-Shore Utility District.

Ok, on to the history of the website. About a year ago we decided to start 1337-b4k4s.com, however due to the fact that the website was loosing its initial intent, and was just all around too much work for me at the time, I decided to shut it down.

I've always wanted to make video games (I'll tie it into the website, just chill) and after searching high and low for any job at any video game company, I still came up short. So I sat around for a while and thought, and realized that with every ones combined knowledge we have what it takes to make video games. With this in mind I approached everyone and asked them what they thought, including some people not mentioned above. Everyone I asked seemed more then willing, and not a single person turned me down.

Now this is where the comic comes in. We already have about four games lined up, and several other ideas that we've been tossing around for a while. Our flagship game (Note: it wont be our first game) will actually be the comic that I've been working on. Involving all of us, and some very interesting characters.

As far as the video game company goes, that's where we're at right now. We are going to run over to the Small Business Administration of Seattle soon, and talk to a counselor there about what we plan on doing and what-not.

The current crew is as follows...

Jesse - Artist (Physical, not computer), Producer, Programmer

Jarret - Lead Designer, Main Programmer, Sound & Audio

Cody - Business and Legal, Animations, Movies, Textures

Steven - Models 2D/3D, Computer Artist

A brief history of the comic, and our flagship game. I've tried to make a bunch of games through out the years, and they've all been called Trigger, because that was what I was going to call my first game. So now within Sl4ck0r when we use the word Trigger it means we're talking about a game without an official title or name yet. Currently the comic, and game are both titled Trigger. I think I'll leave the comic title Trigger even if we come up with a new better name for the game.

The idea for the Game/Comic actually came from a dream I had a while back. Without ruining anything, I'll tell you it was really f*sked up! But I managed to remember most of it, and wrote it down before I forgot it. The dream consisted of only part of the comic and game, but we adapted to it, and made it complete. We have a good chunk of the comic scripted out already.

The first part is the prelude/introduction. After that it will move into the individual stories of each of the characters. And finally it will come to a conclusion.

Due to the fact that I'm not fully confident in my art, and the fact that I still have bad art days, we're going to have an interesting format for the comic. We will have two comics in one... sorta.

The first will be the comic that I've explained to you already, the second will be what we will call OT or Otaku Theatre. OT is basically my way of dealing with the comic, meaning that if I don't feel like drawing the comic that day, or if I'm not in the right mood, I'll throw something else up instead. If you think of MegaTokyo with a lot more Omake/Dead Piro Day stuff, you'll have a good idea.

Well, that's all for now, I hope you have a good journey with us all, and with that I present you with Trigger, and the Slacker Corporation. I hope you enjoy our work!

Trigger, and Otaku Theatre are part of a Slacker Corporation Entertainment project. They are ment to entertain people, not to offend. There are however some things on this site that maybe offensive to some people. If you get offended easily, or have strong morale or religious values, and don't have a very open mind, we'd ask you to please leave this site.
